Joseph Redmond’s journey to becoming a Soccer Stars franchise owner is rooted in his passion for learning, leadership, and making a positive impact. With a background in animal science, he earned his B.S. and spent eight years working as a Veterinary Assistant. While he loved his work, Joseph and his wife, Rufayda, an Operations Manager, began exploring new opportunities—ones that would allow them to build something of their own while making a meaningful difference.
Their search led Joseph to Soccer Stars, a brand that immediately resonated with him. After learning about the program’s emphasis on youth enrichment, skill-building, and community impact, he knew this was the perfect fit. Owning a Soccer Stars franchise not only aligned with his values but also provided the support network they were looking for as first-time business owners.
Now, as the proud owner of Soccer Stars Northridge-Newhall, Joseph is excited to bring high-quality soccer programs to local families. His goal is to create a fun and engaging environment where children can develop confidence, teamwork, and essential soccer skills—while having a blast on the field!
About Soccer Stars
For over 20 years, Soccer Stars has been a leader in youth soccer development, offering programs for children ages 1 to 14+. The curriculum focuses on building technical skills, coordination, and confidence while emphasizing teamwork and perseverance. Through engaging activities, kids not only improve their soccer abilities but also gain important social and emotional skills that benefit them beyond sports.
